Pastor Barry was born and raised in Seattle, and attended the University of Washington where he graduated with a degree in Pharmacy. It was at the University that Barry gave his heart to Christ. There he was discipled by the Navigators, a campus Christian ministry. Barry and his wife Ginny then moved to Moses Lake, where Barry worked as a pharmacist. Then they returned to the Seattle area and Barry continued to work full time in the pharmacy profession. Barry and Ginny began attending Highlands Community Church in 1986. They quickly became in involved in small group ministries and Barry then helped as part time support staff helping Pastor Mike Smith to coordinate Care Circles. Barry then assumed a full time position as a pastor at Highlands in September 2000. He now works in pastoring Parents of Teens and Seniors, and coordinates small groups. Barry has a keen interest and passion in helping people grow in Christ. Barry and Ginny have three children, Joel, Leanna, and Stephen.
